TRAIN YOUR MIND LIKE YOU TRAIN YOUR BODY
1:1 Sport Psychology Coaching
Have you ever wondered…
…what it would be like to move past your fear of failing, fear of letting yourself down, or fear of being uncomfortable? What if you were confident and trusting instead of feeling insecure and judgmental? Imagine how your training, racing, and even your life, would be different if you felt more comfortable taking up space, if you enjoyed the process and challenge of getting stronger, if you performed from a place of curiosity and self-confidence—what would it be like to feel proud of yourself and make decisions from a place of compassion?
WHAT IS MENTAL SKILLS TRAINING, ANYWAY?
Mental skills training is preparing your mind for the demands of racing. Just like you train your body for race day, you need to train your mind as well. Mental skills training helps you develop the skills of concentration, confidence, goal setting, emotional regulation and visualization, among others.

Here’s what this looks like
BEFORE WE MEET
Once you apply, I’ll be in touch within 24 hours with the next steps to get started. You’ll get the option to hop on a discovery call with me before committing to working together if you think that would help you make your decision. Once we decide it’s a “yes,” I’ll send you the Mulcahy Performance Consulting Welcome Guide with everything you’ll need to get started. Next, you’ll fill out an intake questionnaire on everything ranging from your history as an athlete to your current stress levels and future goals.
OUR FIRST SESSION
Our first session together will be a little different than your other sessions as this is primarily an intake session. Expect lots of questions! I want to know about your background as an athlete, what your current performance struggles are, what your goals are, and what your lifestyle looks like. I’ll use this information plus your intake form to create a personalized roadmap to guide our work together.
MOVING FORWARD
Sessions are scheduled at your convenience through my scheduling app. Before each call, you’ll fill out a check-in form to serve as both accountability and a brief update for me on how you’re doing. Sessions are planned based on previous sessions, the check-in form, long-term goals, and your current mental and emotional state.
IN BETWEEN CALLS
Life happens outside of our calls together, which is why I’ve set up an app for you to use to communicate with me, fill out your check-in forms, and complete activities. This will be your hub for our work together.

I WANT THIS FOR YOU TOO
What athletes Are Saying
“I am moving away from an "all or nothing" mentality. I am being more flexible and fluid. I also find that even the hardest workouts are no longer "OMG THIS IS HARD I DON'T WANT TO DO THIS!" . They are more about "experience this, sit with the discomfort of this interval, you can do this." I definitely feel like I am getting mentally a lot stronger, not worrying so much. I am identifying triggers that make me want to skip workouts and races and addressing them, then working through them.”

-
Nope! My expertise is in working with endurance athletes but mental performance coaching can benefit anyone looking to change the way they think
-
You are required to commit to 3 months. Just like you wouldn’t try to cram training for a race into a handful of weeks, transforming your mindset takes time.
-
No, I do not. I’ll read your application and reach out if I have any questions or need you to clarify anything. If I don’t think I’m the right person for what you’re looking for, I won’t accept you.
-
No. My expertise is in the performance side of sport psychology. I’m not a licensed mental health professional. Going to therapy doesn’t disqualify you from working with Mulcahy Performance
-
Most athletes reach out because they have a big goal they are training for. This can be proactive, in that they know training their mind will benefit them. Or, it’s because they keep missing their goals.

Yes, absolutely!
